Review:
It is a short thriller that stores up all the elements of suspension, crime, evolving of plots and characters and the denouement within a single frame. From the beginning to end the reader will be glued to the seat holding breath in larynx.

Nikhil packed his briefcase with a pair of white gloves along with other things and flew for Bangaluru. The suspension starts. What is the need of white gloves if he was going to attend an international conference? And to find the answer we have to go through the pages without a halt.

Vidya, the 'Miss Marple' (Mrs. Marple in this case) of the story was an employee of Nikhil’s company always with a 'something is fishy' attitude. She with her extraordinary competency smelled out the suspicious piquancy behind Nikhil Arora. She, ignoring her chola batora loving husband's warning not to poke her nose in office matters, kept her vigilance intact, where did Nikhil go and why? Obviously Nikhil' s lying that he is at home when he actually was at Bengaluru confirms her suspicion in Eepsa’s murder case as the automated voice message on the phone had played in Kannada. And then the ‘paper kone’ with which Vidya was relishing her velpuri detangled all the muddled threads clearly to her.

The one thing I regret in this well woven plot is that the relationship between Nikhil and Eepsa is not fully explored. Why Nikhil murdered her, what was her fault? If she flirted with Nikhil then was not he in the same way to blame for engaging in an extramarital affair? Forgetting their anniversary date he scooped with Eepsa in his cabin, with her mouth lashing lusciously on him. And Sunayna, his wife, discovering her husband’s infidelity disappeared from his life without a single trace. He said “meeting her (Eepsa) had destroyed my life”, but how she destroyed and why she blocked him in her life, just remained a mystery. What he wanted to explain to his wife when she found him with Eepsa? We also want to know. If he loved his wife to the extent that he could engage a hacker with a big sum remuneration to seek her out of her hole why he fell for another woman.

Though in respect of a limited boundary of genre, Shalini P. Sawkar’s 'When I Find You' is a compact thriller, that in no way deprives one of its touch of humor and humanity, trivial pros and cons of human existence, human behavior and habit.
Above all it’s a fantastic, one breath reading and fully enjoyable piece of fiction for those who do not like long dragging storyline to yawn on just to know who, what and why.
